SURPRISE ENDING: Chicago newspaper … What were we thinking in electing this narcissistic empty suit?

July 5th, 2010

Tom Elia seems a little confused by today’s editorial in the Chicago Sun-Times. The paper scolds the electorate for trusting an empty suit with no accomplishments to a high executive office, and itself for endorsing him. But which empty suit do they mean? If we remove the name, can you tell?

VERY COOL!! Google Now Shows Flight Results in Search

To search for any flight for a day, you need to use the abbreviation for the airlines and the flight number.

It was just a few days ago that Google acquired ITA software. Keith Dsouza covered this news earlier stating,

Google just got into the travel industry by acquiring a Boston based company called ITA, which specializes in organizing airline data, flight times, availability and prices. With this acquisition Google might be looking to build a more robust and useful travel search engine where they could also possibly make more money through the medium.

It did not take long for his predictions to come true and within a week of the acquisition, Google has started showing flight results data in search.

It’s the Chicago way…

Last week the Obama Administration sent out the goon squad to strong-arm Louisiana Parish President Nungesser. They told him to keep his complaints to himself and out of the media.

Now they’re detaining photographers reporting on the BP-Obama oil spill disaster.

FASCINATING CAPTAIN. Reading on paper Is faster than iBooks on the iPad

It will take you longer to read a book on an iPad or Kindle compared to the printed page, according to a recent study. Dr. Jakob Nielsen of the Nielsen Norman Group—a product development consultancy that is not associated with Nielsen, the metrics company—compared the reading times of 24 users on the Kindle 2, an iPad using the iBooks application, a PC monitor and good old fashioned paper. The study found that reading on an electronic tablet was up to 10.7 percent slower than reading a printed book. Despite the slower reading times, Nielsen found that users preferred reading books on a tablet device compared to the paper book. The PC monitor, meanwhile, was universally hated as a reading platform among all test subjects.

I’ll put up this one Reagan speech from 1964 against ANY speech Obama has EVER made.

The contrast between the two is like hearing an American statesman versus hearing a third world tinpot dictator. Sorry, no apologies … it’s simply an observation.

MR. OBAMA … have a beer and leave us alone for a day while we celebrate OUR freedom

On the Fourth of July, we don’t only celebrate the birth of our nation. We celebrate American exceptionalism—everything that makes the United States the greatest nation on earth. In celebrating this, we reject Barack Obama’s blueprint for the kind of country he seeks to make us.

On the Fourth of July, we celebrate our Independence Day—our freedom from oppressive government and our commitment to individual freedom. In doing so, we oppose Barack Obama’s vision, and his blueprint for America.
