Human Achievement Hour
If our Human Achievement Hour is at all a dig against Earth Hour, it is so only by the fact that we are pointing out what Earth Hour truly is about: it isn’t pro-earth, it is anti-man and anti-innovation. So, on March 28th I plan to continue “voting” for humanity by enjoying the fruits of man’s mind.We applaud this statement and are thankful for the celebration of earth’s resources and the innovations making it possible for human achievement.

I’m pretty sure Earth Hour is actually pro-human. Why? Coal and oil are great ways to power our lives and economies, but they won’t last forever. The purpose is to get people toconcentrate on ways to make our modern civilization outlast the fossil-fuel reserves it was built on.

Sure, it’s a dumb way of doing it, but I don’t like the idea that humanity might commit suicide thanks in part to an idiotic waste of the resources God gave us on this earth.
