How can it be legal for congress to pass a bill that no one has seen ????? So much for transparency ! so much for ethical gov’t ……BHO has displayed dictatorial traits and we are sitting and taking it. wake up America. Vote with your $$ – don’t spend. No amount of stimulus $ will work as Americans have already gotten the picture – higher taxes, smaller business = fewer jobs; less freedom, tyrannical gov’t control, sink DC by not spending.

Let it be known that they were not over shadowed in the eyes of everyone. I want to say Thank you to 1st Lt. Brian N. Bradshaw. My condolences go out to you and your entire family.

It was a tragic week and despite all the great music we listened to by MJ. We need to realize who the real heroes are.

Brian and the rest of the veterans made this country and allowed the celebrities to rise to their fame.

    God Bless you all

Only wish I lived in N.Y. so I could shake this man’s hand for standing up for those of us who are no longer being heard. Every word he spoke was the truth…what was with all the media hype over this freak (yes his music was good) but a ot of good people died around this time and didn’t get the coverage they should have. Not totally prejudice but enough WATERMELON U is enough!!!!

P.S. don’t care for Pulosi much but gotta tip my hat to her and wish I knew the D-who walked out of the “moment of silence” hat’s off to them too. YEA TEAM!!!

Can anyone imagine bringing the many thousands of Japanese and German prisoners to the United States to be tried in civilian courts during WWII?

It is even more insane bringing terrorists and suspected terrorist to the United States, spending millions more on to accommodate them, and trying them in courts where evidence thresholds concern fingerprints, witness statements, forensic tests, forensic photographs, crime scene investigations, ballistic tests on bullet or bomb fragments, forensic autopsies, and coroners’ jury findings?

    Check out “http://www.politicalislam.com”

It’s the single biggest threat to human freedom. They make Communism of the 50s seem like Boy Scouts in a bad mood. And so long as the liberals believe “They’re just like us. We all want the same things. If we’re nice, they’ll settle down.” we’re doomed.

I don’t know how we educate the sheeple. I wish Hollywood would do what they did in WWII, making obvious films with clearly defined villains. Political correctness is grease for the 5th column.

Just as much of the heavily declining entertainment industry is in Diane Watson’s district as in Waxman’s, given that her district includes Culver City (which has been intimately connected to the common people who’ve made the Industry run since it was built). Although Watson’s only been in Congress since ‘99 nowhere near as long as Waxman. (Mel Levine represented “the heart of Screenland”, back in the ’70s). Maybe you should run against her instead as she’s not as entrenched as Henry although that would entail moving.

This is what makes it even more amazing that liberals are so often apologists for Islam (”they’re just like us.” Really?!).

The Gates v Crowley affair, even if Pres Obama hadn’t commented, may have had a pre-context: the incident about 1 month ago where a white officer (a recent US soldier in either Afganistan or Iraq) – which I couldnt find in a search; where the officer accosted a black ambulatory medic by grabbing his throat. This was splashed across the media all last month. Funny how 1 incident where law officials are engaged suddenly precedes another incident; I’m guessing Prof Gates had that incident in mind when he encountered Policeman Crowley. Both incidents highly charged our nation – but I think the previous police-medic incident gave even more power to Prof Gates emotions; no isolated occurrances here but plenty of similarities.

There are thousands of incidents, arrests and police-to-citizen confrontations across this country every day. To think that a black man wears that “chip” on his shoulder from a completely unrelated incident borders on ridiculous. Isn’t it interesting that none of the reports reveal that Gates was the least bit thankful that the police showed up with an interest in protecting his property? Those of us in fly-over country call that ingratitude … along with a few other things!!

Even though the Democrats have stated that illegal immigrants, will not have access to Americans health care, it can easily be compromised by fraudulent use of stolen ID. BUT WE ALL SEEM TO FORGET, THAT IF THE DEMOCRATS PASS A PATH TO CITIZENSHIP–OR BLANKET AMNESTY. AS NEW CITIZENS ALONG WITH THEIR EXTENDED FAMILIES. THEY THEN WILL BE ABLE TO CONVENIENTLY ACCESS–HEALTH CARE–WITHOUT ANY RESTRAINTS? NEVER, EVER PAYING A SINGLE PENNY INTO THE SYSTEM.

Everybody in the workplace must be carefully vetted for inconsistencies with a progressively upgraded E-Verify. Even without stealing into the reformed health care system by federal law the taxpayers must support illegal immigrants for emergency medical services. Foreign nationals use this mandatory law, as an excuse for any kind of minor injury or illness.

The travesty that drives the faltering health care system is of course money. Everyday our televisions are monotonously inundated with adverts about new drugs and medicine. Personally I’m sick of the continuous kaleidescope of ads, trying to program our brains to buy another boring antihistamine? We should also question the majority of Republicans, why there are rumors of a dark conspiracy? Could it be that that these people have a cemented interest in killing any type of reform? How many of these politicians have secret stocks in multi-bed hospitals, greedy profiteering insurance firms or the pharmaceutical industry. THE QUESTION THAT MUST BE ASKED IS, WHO HAS VOTED AGAINST A PUBLIC OPTION? WHICH POLITICIANS HAVE A FINANCIAL STAKE IN KILLING ANY REFORM? IS THERE INFORMATION THAT ANSWERS THESE QUESTIONS? THINK ABOUT IT?

My health care experience was mainly in England and Australia and prior to the mass immigration invasion was positively first class. FIRST CLASS AND EXEMPLARY!

Of course the status quo doesn’t want any change in the trillion dollar medical complex, because it could strictly confine a multitude of new common sense laws? Sadly, I have listened to lies sprouting from the special interest lobby over the airwaves for weeks. Trouble is, a majority of the American people believe this tripe that we are constantly bombarded with?

We are still conveying many entitlement programs to illegal aliens and their families, with extorted taxes. We have always been the recipients of business welfare and likely always will be, because the pariah businesses that hire illegals, never pay anything to their support. GET RAW ANSWERS AT NUMBERSUSA Tell those in WASHINGTON no more AMNESTIES. USE ATTRITION TO DEPORT THEM THROUGH E-VERIFY, 287 G, NO MATCH SOCIAL SECURITY LETTERS AND LIGHTENING ICE RAIDS. CONTACT YOUR POLITICIAN 202-224-3121 AND DEMAND NO WEAKENING OF CURRENT LAWS?

Is this a true indication of the character of Reid?
To desire that somebody’s employer goes out of business?
To wish ill will on another person is despicable. He is wishing ill will on how many employees, their family members, children?
No concern for the working man. I thought he was one of the leaders of the party that is supposed to represent the working man.
Forget party affiliation…. this type of behavior is just wrong!
What type of morals does Reid have?
Would his parents be proud of this behavior?

Bravo to Andrew for saying this. It is not meant as a disrespect for Senator Ted Kennedy. But, let’s face facts. Many of us do not, and did not, necessarily agree with his political views, or his ideals. This in no way means that we do not love our nation, or the citizens, nor that we don’t want the folks taken care of properly. What it means, is just that we do not believe in total government control, over entitlement, over legislation, over spending, over or misuse of the media to control the sheep! It means, we many of us, have simply had enough. Too far left is too far left. It breeds contempt, and really bad things for our national security.
Andrew brought perspective to the OVER DROOLING!
Maybe the bigger message here is that we, the people, need to stop elevating folks to such high levels, that we forget to do our jobs of participating in the government and our country to help protect it!

Lie: *For those of you who are over 65, this bill in its present form might be lethal for you. People in England over 59 cannot receive stents for their coronary arteries. The government wants to mimic the British plan. For those of you younger, it will still mean restriction of the care that you and your children receive.*

    Truth: http://www.ptca.org/voice/archives/2009_0819.html

Also responding to this assertion was British Health Secretary Andy Burnham, who stated in an email to Dr. Hisham Rana’s medical blog:

The Department of Health can confirm that this statement is not true. Access to treatment should be offered on the basis of clinical need. You may be interested to know that a national audit report on cardiac surgery, which has just been published shows that, in the United Kingdom, 20% of all cardiac surgery patients are over 75 years old.

Stents and heart bypass surgery are fully available in the England, as they are and would continue to be in the U.S.

The cost grows out of control, due to monopoly by AMA. AMA limits the admission to medical school to few. Thus, supply demand gets out of hand. To break the monopoly, Uncle SAM needs to have all branches of the Armed Forces opens lots of new medical schools in each city. 7 years later, everyone walks in the street is a medical doctor. It cost less to see a doctor than getting a hair do ! This is the best way to solve health care problem.

I have been following, with a great deal of interest, the debate on health care reform. Particularly the part about how the reform will be paid for.
The consumer pays for everything, in this country, either through taxes or through consumption. Businesses do not pay taxes, they act as tax collectors and pass the taxes they collect on to the consumer. The same holds true for license fees, and permit fees etc. Those in the health care profession do not pay malpractice insurance or malpractice settlements. The consumer pays. Wealthy people do not pay taxes at the rate that the tax code implies. They use financial instruments such as tax-free bonds and various kinds or trust to either avoid or postpone paying taxes. A real life example, GE is not paying for the dredging of the Hudson River. The consumer is. No mater how they package it, if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and looks like a duck it is most likely a duck and the consumer pays.
By their own admission, Government does not have a very good track record when it comes to running anything. Just read your local newspaper. It is full of examples i.e. Amtrak, the Post Office. The list is almost endless.
By the governments own figures one sixth of the population is without any form of health insurance. To cover all of these people, at the same level of service enjoyed by those presently covered, the total medical cost to this nation will need to increase by 20 percent. The only other solution is to reduce the level of service. To pay part of the cost by increasing efficiency and reducing fraud is unrealistic giving the track record government has continued to demonstrate in the past.
I am no better then anyone else. I do not have all of the answers but I do have a couple suggestions. First we need tort reform. Second we need to hold people responsible for making unhealthy decisions. People who are obese, people who use drugs and people who smoke, to name a few, should be made to pay more for their health care.
By the way everyone in this country has health care insurance today. Anyone who is sick can go to an emergency room and by law the hospital must treat them and the consumer pays.
