The fingerprints of the preeminent funder of the activist Left today, George Soros, are all over the anti-American “Occupy Wall Street” movement. The seventh-wealthiest person in America (net worth: $22 billion), Soros has publicly embraced Occupy Wall Street and financially supports a left-wing group that is funneling money to the movement.

The Soros Media Empire – on Government Steroids?

George Orwell: "1984"

In Orwell’s 1984, “…The individual is always subordinated to the state, and it is in part this philosophy which allows the Party to manipulate and control humanity.”From Big Journalism by Liberty Chick.

Until George W. Bush took office, the cries that our media system in America has fallen hostage to corporations had never been so fervent. Soros especially became vocal in this regard, spreading that same message around the country and internationally that democracy in America was in great peril due to a crisis in journalism:In the end, what the left wants is to take the profit incentive away from the business of media and get it out of the hands of the private sector. They cannot fathom the thought of corporations continuing to own the media outlets in America, because then they cannot control the content. Instead, the left would prefer to put their trust solely in the hands of the government and so-called philanthropists. To some, the phrase “new public media” might sound like Utopia. But look at where media is already heading today. When George Soros is building his own media empire to force his political ideology onto the American people, I simply don’t see how that plan protects democracy in our country.I may not like what I see and hear on every channel or at every web address these days. But I am afforded multiple points of view from a plethora of sources that are driven by the market demand. I am responsible enough to go to multiple sources, seek out the facts, and form my own opinions. I’d prefer for my government and George Soros not to form those for me. Mr. Soros, if you allow ME to be your personal manager, even Glenn Beck would start liking you

Written by Editor on . Posted in Current Events

Respectfully sir, one of the things we really have to work on initially is this world emporer mentality. It's just not working for you.

It’s widely believed the George Soros has a rather dim view of his own cultural heritage. What he needs is an EXTREME PERSONAL MAKEOVER. You’re gonna leave it ALL behind anyway … why not use some of your wealth to preserve a more positive legacy? I’ll bet we could even win over “Mr. Mean Jeans” himself, Glenn Beck!
What set Foxman and other Beck critics off was Beck’s discussion of Soros’ experience as a Jewish teenager living in Nazi-occupied Hungary during the Holocaust. Soros survived by living with a non-Jewish family and assuming a non-Jewish identity. Soros accompanied and observed his phony “godfather” delivering papers to Jews and confiscating their property. But the issue is not what Soros did or could have done as a teenager. Who are we to judge what a 14 year-old felt he had to do to stay alive in those horrific circumstances? What makes Soros so worthy of condemnation is his evident lack of any feeling at any time since for the suffering of Jews he had observed all around him. And Soros has turned on his fellow Jews ever since.
George Soros, The Self-Hating Jew Whose Money Cannot Buy Him Humanity. That’s a pretty caustic headline George … how about we work on changing all this criticism. Call me … I can help. Seriously.

IS GEORGE SOROS TIRED OF POLITICS? I Can’t Stop a Republican ‘Avalanche’

Do Liberal billionaires really make a difference? And if they do, what's wrong with Conservatives having the same impact?

Or is he finally “over” George W. Bush?
Via NYT Caucus blog: George Soros, the billionaire financier who was an energetic Democratic donor in the last several election cycles but is sitting this one out, is not feeling optimistic about Democratic prospects.“I made an exception getting involved in 2004,” Mr. Soros, 80, said in a brief interview Friday at a forum sponsored by the Bretton Woods Committee, which promotes understanding of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.“And since I didn’t succeed in 2004, I remained engaged in 2006 and 2008. But I’m basically not a party man. I’d just been forced into that situation by what I considered the excesses of the Bush administration.” Well, that’s very nice of you Mr. Soros.
Democrat Sugar Daddy bows out … sucks to be THEM.

LIKE I’VE SAID … FOLLOW THE MONEY: Soros Has a Pastor Close to Obama On His Payroll

Written by Editor on . Posted in Obama Nation

Do you like to connect the dots?

It just doesn’t get any better than this.
By Ed Lasky @ American Thinker: The tangled web woven by George Soros served as a safety net for Barack Obama when he needed rescue from the exposure of Jeremiah Wright as an America-hating radical. Pastor Jim Wallis lied about receiving money from George Soros’s Open Society Institute. His organization, Sojourners, is a leftist “social justice” type of ministry. He and Sojourners have a history with Barack Obama that I have been tracking for a few years. When the Jeremiah Wright scandal erupted, candidate Barack Obama had to find religion — fast. Fortunately for him, he had a backup pastor in place and ready to go: Jim Wallis. Apparently, Obama felt right at home with Wallis. Don’t forget your pencil so you can connect all the dots.
Sheesh!

Money talks!
by Michael Moriarty @ BIG HOLLYWOOD:
George Soros ... gazillionaire.

George Soros ... gazillionaire.

George Soros now rules over half of the Earth: Eurasia, North America and, with his foot in Brazil, a large hunk of South America. With a Sorosian Barack Obama running the United States, a Sorosian Vladimir Putin running the neo Soviet Union of Third Millennium Russia, and that earliest of Sorosian visionaries, Dr. Henry Kissinger of Harvard, running an eternally Sorosian dialogue with the Tweedledees and Tweedledums of Red China, we have an entirely Sorosian New World Order. The old euphemism for Marxist, the eternally resurrected treasonous lie called Progressive, has once again, as with Henry A. Wallace failed the smell test. Therefore the new word for Progressive must be Sorosian.HOLLYWOOD Sorosified: Oh, those rumored “splits” in the Democratic Party?George and Media Matters will fix that … unless, of course, George is so disappointed with his Oval Office Mini-Me’s that he’s given the order for his Wolfhound to bite! Dr. Evil and his band of minions.

via RED STATEPerhaps Even Hard-Core Obamanauts Know His Budget Stinks
George Soros, MoveOn.org, the SEIU, the unions, and Barack Obama’s other supporters are pouring millions into the effort to put pressure on swing Democrats to support the Obama budget. Apparently their money is being wasted:
Aides to moderate Senate and House Democrats being targeted by ads and e-mail campaigns said their offices have fielded a relatively light volume of telephone calls, especially in comparison to the crushing response to debate on the economic stimulus package earlier this year. The office of one Democratic senator targeted by several pro-budget media campaigns reported about 2,600 calls last week about the budget, a mere fraction of the amount of feedback generated by the stimulus debate…
According to one Democratic leadership aide, some swing-state Democrats may have the best of both worlds: they’re benefiting politically from stories that they’re being pressured by liberal interest groups, but they’re not actually feeling any pressure. Apparently even the loyal foot soldiers who put Obama in the White House are getting tired of the permanent campaign. Is it too much to hope that the Netroots waste millions to no effect?

Financial troubles couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of folks

One of liberal philanthropist George Soros’s favorite lefty groups is in deep financial doo-doo.
The group is Common Cause. It attacks pharmaceutical companies for opposing government-run health care, demands federal regulation of drug prices, and pushes for so-called campaign finance reform and public financing of campaigns for political office.Big liberal institutional donors to Common Cause include Arca Foundation ($1,395,000 since 2000), Carnegie Corp. of New York ($1,360,000 since 2001), Beldon Fund ($1,300,000 since 2005), and Joyce Foundation ($570,000 since 2002). Before he became U.S. president, Barack Obama served on the Joyce Foundation’s board.Common Cause’s state chapters in Florida and New Jersey are going out of business.

George Soros Plays “Chicken Little” In Reuters Report

Written by Editor on . Posted in Politics

Gun Toting Liberal has his panties boxers in a wad
There goes Mr. Soros again — “The sky is falling! The sky is falling!”, he’s yelling from the rooftops (Reuters)..
Soros is estimated currently to be worth around $9 billion in net worth; he is ranked by Forbes as the 101st-richest person in the world.

Soros is estimated currently to be worth around $9 billion in net worth; he is ranked by Forbes as the 101st-richest person in the world.

George Soros is like one of those lucky lottery winners. He became filthy rich as a speculator and now has about $9 billion to fund his tinkering with politics and economics and who knows what else. There is a certain irony in what former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker wrote in 2003 in the foreword of Soros’ book The Alchemy of Finance:George Soros has made his mark as an enormously successful speculator, wise enough to largely withdraw when still way ahead of the game. The bulk of his enormous winnings is now devoted to encouraging transitional and emerging nations to become ‘open societies,’ open not only in the sense of freedom of commerce but — more important — tolerant of new ideas and different modes of thinking and behavior.I guess what he was really meant was “tolerant” only of Soros’ ideas. And I certainly agree with your assessment below:
What we DON’T need now are a bunch of “doomsayers” like Soros during such a great time of rejoice and celebration..
But I’m just a little hesitant to support you on this:
But, you know what? Soros isn’t ONLY one yelling “The sky is falling! The sky is falling!” right now. Surprisingly, the ones who are yelling the phrase the loudest in the Blogospheres these days are the same right-wing bloggers who’ve previously espoused the trickle down economics theories of their hero, Ronald Reagan for years. Wow. I didn’t realize one could so blatantly have it both ways and STILL expect to be taken seriously about anything else they ever publish on their websites in support of so-called “conservative values”, yet, apparently that’s the way it works out here in “Political Blogger-Ville”.
Like I said on your comments to this article, “Regardless of what you think about trickle down, and all kinds of other economic crapola, there ARE serious issues that we as citizens should be a part of … and some of them could be hidden behind the gun slinger rhetoric of many bloggers in this “Wild, Wild West” we call the blogoshere. Since it IS a free “marketplace of ideas,” let’s go easy on our shooting our own … they could very well be a part of the answer.”Ya gotta love this GTL … he’s right in there between “Pity the Fool” Mr. T and Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. But there’s never a mystery as to what he’s thinking … and like his blog says, “Always on target.” I like that.
