PUT A FORK IN THEM: Michigan Democrats Told Their Fake Tea Party Is Illegal

September 5th, 2010
No comments

Proper Tea Party manners involves knowing what kind of fork to use at the table.

To call them “Dummies” doesn’t seem harsh enough!

Via Gateway Pundit:
The Michigan Supreme Court has made the final decision eliminating the fraudulent “Tea Party” Party from the 2010 elections.

Four of Michigan’s Democrat appointed justices joined its small three Republican appointed contingent to declare the so-called “Tea Party” Party ineligible for the ballot.

For months various Democrats and union members have been trying to create a new political party in Michigan misleadingly named the “Tea Party” Party. 23 candidates had been slated from this Democrat dirty trick effort in order to confuse voters into imagining that they are voting for candidates that actually support Tea Party movement ideals.
The fake Tea Party is done..

Thankfully.

Liberal Kodak Moments: photographic moments that define the BAD JUDGMENT of the Left

Y'all just don't get it, do you?

Thanks for the memories!

By Jeffrey Lord @ American Spectator:
This is not a presidential year — but the values issue, a seeming no-show at first — has now jumped to center stage with the Ground Zero Mosque. A Time magazine poll not only shows 61% of Americans — not just New Yorkers — opposing the Mosque, a full 70% have cited the construction as “insult to the victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center.” Which is to say, an issue not of religious freedom as its liberal proponents claim but — yes — bad judgment.

…

Don’t think for a moment that the new emblem of this year’s campaign — the Ground Zero Mosque and Obama’s support for it — will be used as anything other than an illustration of colossal bad judgment across the board. Bad judgment that will have a considerable negative impact on an election that was already sending Democrats reaching for the political smelling salts. Races for House, Senate and gubernatorial seats from New York to Nevada are going to be affected by this — as Harry Reid’s rush to separate from the Obama stance on the Mosque issue so vividly demonstrates.

GROUND ZERO WORKS PLEDGE NOT TO WORK ON MOSQUE:

We feel we have been betrayed by our civic leaders and elected officials as they allow the Cordoba Initiative Group build their Mega-Mosque on top of the ashes of the 3,ooo innocents who were slaughtered on 911.

The attackers yelled “Allah Ahkbar” as they destroyed our symbols of economic power and liberty filled with Americans.

Across the world and even in our own neighborhoods Muslims celebrated in the streets as the nation grieved like never before. The Imam Feisal Rauff leader of the Cordoba Initiative days after the attacks on 60 minutes called the United States an accessory to the crime and for all intents and purposes Osama Bin Laden was made in the U.S.A. This is the man responsible for the project to build this Mosque of tolerance and peace. He has refused to condem Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations and will not reveal the massive funding he needs to complete the project these facts cast a dark shadow over the Imam’s true intentions.href=”http://www.bluecollarcorner.com/blog/”>BLUE COLLAR CORNER.

Georgia ... here's whats happening in our world.

PM summary of news stories across the web:

Obama just took $700K out of our pockets to pay for an Andy Griffith comeback:
Was it not enough for President Obama to saddle future Americans with billions of dollars in new health benefits and entitlements that they simply cannot afford?

He also had to go and corrupt one of America’s most beloved figures of the last half-century. And stick you with the $700,000 bill.

Before Obama started pimping him out last week to sell the highly unpopular health-care law, actor Andy Griffith was about as all-American as you could get.
In a sick deal with the Obama administration, Griffith shatters his credibility, promising all roses with a health-care law that even Barney Fife could tell you is a disaster in the making.

Republicans Take Aim at Kagan as Debate Begins:
The full Senate began debating Elena Kagan’s nomination to the Supreme Court on Tuesday, with Republicans continuing to say she was a political nominee who would seek to advance a liberal agenda.
Virtually every Democratic senator is expected to support Ms. Kagan, with the exception of Sen. Ben Nelson (D., Neb.), who said last week he would oppose her.

Somebody find Hillary … Pakistan’s Zardari says war with Taliban being lost:
“I believe that the international community, which Pakistan belongs to, is in the process of losing the war against the Taliban,” Zardari said. “And that is, above all, because we have lost the battle for hearts and minds.”
Despite an increase in the U.S.-dominated foreign force in Afghanistan to 150,000 troops, the Taliban insurgency is at its strongest since the hardline Islamists were overthrown in 2001..

Ahmadinejad unhurt after motorcade firecracker explosion:
“Stupid Zionists have hired mercenaries to assassinate me,” Ahmadinejad said in a televised speech to expatriate Iranians on Monday.
DUDE, IF IT WERE ZIONIST FORCES, YOU’D BE DEAD.

So … you Libs want to point to Britain for healthcare? Look to them for this too!
The art scene exploded in Britain over the past decade, giving rise to jewels like the Tate Modern museum on the silvery banks of the Thames and sparking a renaissance of playwrights, filmmakers, artists and dancers. The fuel for that boom: a surge in generosity from Britain’s single biggest patron of the arts — the government.

But now cash-strapped and desperate to slash the largest budget deficit in Europe, the new ruling coalition of Conservatives and Liberal Democrats is moving to close the curtain on an era of what they describe as excessive government patronage.
British government moves to dramatically cut public funding for the arts.

Sorry Mainstream Media, the UN Says You Are Wrong
About Israel/Lebanese Border Skirmish:

Yesterday, Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) ambushed an IDF position in Israeli territory along the Lebanese border in northern Israel. Coordinated with the United Nations Peacekeeping troops (UNIFIL), the IDF forces were cutting down a tree that obstructed its view of Lebanese movements. The tree was directly on the other side of a fence in Israeli territory which sits south of the internationally recognized “Blue Line”

Five people lost their lives in the Lebanese attack, one Israeli officer, three Lebanese soldiers and a reporter from a Hezbollah-run Lebanese newspaper.

Most of the mainstream media used Reuters and AP reports which falsely said that Israel was on the border or on the Lebanese side. Additionally the reports were written in a way to give the impression that Israel was the aggressor.
The Lebanese bullets killed Israeli officer Lt. Col., Dov Harari, who was not near the fence but was monitoring the tree cutting operations from a distance..

Judge being gay a nonissue during Prop. 8 trial:
The biggest open secret in the landmark trial over same-sex marriage being heard in San Francisco is that the federal judge who will decide the case, Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker, is himself gay. Many gay politicians in San Francisco and lawyers who have had dealings with Walker say the 65-year-old jurist, appointed to the bench by President George H.W. Bush in 1989, has never taken pains to disguise – or advertise – his orientation.
That’s interesting … for a lot of reasons.

AMEN! Extending Tax Cuts Key To Job Creation:
High unemployment, record debt and 18 straight months of anti-business policies demonstrate that this president and Democratic congressional majority have mismanaged an already troubled economy and made matters worse for American families and employers. Despite already raising taxes by $670 billion, the president’s policies still have us on track to triple the national debt over the next decade. And now, a sweeping $3.8 trillion tax increase is set to hit virtually every American on Jan. 1, 2011. By failing to act to extend current tax cuts, Democratic leaders will allow a massive tax increase to take hold.
LEAVE THOSE TAX CUTS IN PLACE.

GOP senators call for Mayberry probe:
Andy Taylor, sheriff of Mayberry, has been implicated in what five U.S. Senators called a scheme to use taxpayer money to benefit Democrats in Washington. The incident, dubbed “Mayberrygate” by the guy who sits next to this reporter, began when Manteo resident and actor Andy Griffith appeared in an ad touting the benefits of the new health care law passed by Democrats.Four Republican Senators, including Sen. Richard Burr of Winston-Salem, objected.
Gee Andy, what’d you do while you were in Washington?

CURIOUS: Democrats startlingly silent on “ground zero mosque”:
Yesterday President Obama’s spokesman pointedly declined to take a position on the planned Muslim community center in Lower Manhattan, calling it a local issue. In fact, prominent conservative opponents of what they call the “ground zero mosque” succeeded in elevating it into a national issue weeks ago. And yet, Speaker Nancy Pelosi hasn’t commented. Neither has Majority Leader Harry Reid. Nor have many of the members of New York’s supposedly liberal congressional delegation. And those New York representatives and senators who do support the project have issued milquetoast statements through their spokespeople.
Something doesn’t add up.

BP says ’static kill’ to stop
oil leak was successful:

BP says the “static kill” of its ruptured Gulf of Mexico oil well has worked, a big step towards sealing it. In the procedure, special drilling fluid known as mud is pumped into the well, forcing the oil back down. BP said well pressure was being controlled by the pressure of the mud, which was “the desired outcome”. (Snip) BP spokeswoman Sheila Williams said the drilling mud was currently holding the oil down. “The well appears to have reached a static condition – a significant milestone,” she said.
The well is now being monitored, per the procedure, to ensure the well remains static. Further pumping of mud may or may not be required depending on the results observed during monitoring..

More blacks “unfriending” Obama:
Black and white America remain greatly divided when asked to rate how Barack Obama is doing as president, a Gallup poll indicated. Obama’s job approval rating averaged 88 percent among blacks and 38 percent among whites in July, a 50-percentage-point gap that has been consistent in recent months but larger than the first months following his inauguration, Gallup reported Tuesday.
Poll: Obama’s approval
among blacks dips.

Prepare for more bad real estate news:
Foreclosures, after slacking off a bit in late 2009, have resumed their rise in the Chicago area this year. And the situation isn’t likely to get better quickly. That’s not me talking. It’s Chicago’s biggest bank, JP Morgan Chase & Co., which sees little relief in the dreaded foreclosure parade until at least 2013. Given Chase’s market-leading position among Chicago banks, the view deserves a little more attention than it’s gotten.
Another foreclosure wave coming: Chase.

Obama as software still has a few bugs:
As a man who turned the tide of Hispanic votes from Republicans to Democrats in 2008 and spoke out so publicly against the tough Arizona immigration law, how is it possible for President Obama to have weakening support among Latinos? According to the latest Gallup numbers, President Obama’s support among Hispanics is down from 69% in January to 48 percent now. Slow progress over immigration legislation is one of the culprits, says National Council of La Raza spokeswoman Clarissa Martinez.
Obama and the Waning Hispanic Vote.

Hey … hey … OVER HERE:
Forty U.S. billionaires pledged Wednesday to give at least half of their wealth to charity — either during their lifetimes or after death.

That could be a big boost to nonprofits, which have suffered from the recent economic downturn.

The list of those taking the pledge includes some of the nation’s wealthiest individuals: Bill and Melinda Gates, Warren Buffett, T. Boone Pickens, Michael Bloomberg and George Lucas of Star Wars fame.

Morning Summary of MUST READ stories for Tuesday, July 27, 2010

July 27th, 2010

The news clown is sad today about all the dummies in Washington.

AM summary of MUST READ stories across the web:

Liberal Environmentalist is an unlikely skeptic of Global Warming:

If only THIS woman’s mother & father had applied the board of education to the seat of knowledge (PEOPLE LIKE THIS ARE ACTUALLY PAID FOR THEIR ARROGANT INSENSITIVITY AND IGNORANCE?):
The “Spirited Atheist” of The Washington Post, Susan Jacoby, predictably trashed Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston as not only “poster children for the dumbing down of America” and as “most middle-class American parents’ worst nightmare,” but proof of what happens when religious people show off their contempt for book learning:

Bristol was used by her mother as an asset to placate the religious right-wing base of the Republican Party during the 2008 campaign. She was a living demonstration of Sarah Palin’s opposition to abortion: Look at my teenage daughter, she made a mistake and did the right thing by having the baby. The only more shameless aspect of Sarah’s campaign was her constant exhibition of her Down Syndrome son. Look at me, I didn’t have an abortion like those terrible elitist women who make fun of me for not reading books.

from NewsBusters.org – Exposing Liberal Media Bias by Tim Graham.

Jay Tea asks some pretty hard hitting questions about the Shirley Sherrod incident:
One element of the whole Shirley Sherrod mess has bugged me from the outset. One aspect that has simply not made any sense whatsoever in the whole narrative. And that is how quickly the Obama administration and the NAACP jumped to distance themselves from her, and how hard they jumped.

Remember the timeline. Two elements show just how quickly they reacted:

–Breitbart posts the video at 11:18 a.m. last Monday.

–Sherrod’s own account of her dismissal.

Sherrod says that she was called while driving home from work. Her boss told her that the White House had called three times to get her fired, because she was “going to be on Glenn Beck’s show tonight.”

Beck’s show airs at 5:00 p.m. That means that the White House had called three separate times between 11:18 and then. (It also means that Sherrod had already left work before 5:00, but she could have gotten an early start that day.) And between each call, there was enough time for Sherrod’s bosses to get hold of her and garner her resignation — say, at least half an hour. So knock another 90 minutes off the time frame. That means that the White House decided she had to go no later than 3:30 that afternoon, and in all likelihood even sooner.

In that 4-hour window, what elements factored into their decision to get rid of Sherrod?
Check it out … Jay concludes with the ultimate question.

Rep. Charles Djou (R-HI): Iran is a REAL THREAT:
I take seriously our nation’s security. In the oath that I took to become the U.S. Representative of Hawai‘i’s First Congressional District, I swore to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” As an Army Reserve officer, I have sworn to give my life in our country’s defense if necessary. Whenever there is a threat to our nation, it is my duty to confront it. I believe that Iran is such a threat.

Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism and has aided in the killing of Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan. Iran’s government is led by a Holocaust-denying president. And Iran continues to defy the United Nations and most of the international community by developing its nuclear weapons program. A nuclear-armed Iran is a threat to the United States, to our ally Israel and to the Western world.

The Day Care Center on Capital Hill … Magical Thinkers in Washington:

Predictions of cost savings through ObamaCare, like most liberal politics, were based on magical thinking. If they want something to be true with sufficiently intensity, liberals know it must be true.

Small children are natural magical thinkers. Ask any psychologist, pediatrician, or parent. Magical thinkers believe that because they want it or can conceive of it, “it” is so, or will be so. The magically thinking child ties a cape on his back and knows that with it on, he can fly. When he jumps off the roof, he will, of course, fall, not soar like Superman. The usual cure for magical thinking is ToT (tincture of time) and evidence.

People in Congress and in the White House, though not physically small, behave like children: They depend on magical thinking. Because they say it, “it” will be.
By Deane Waldman: Magical Thinkers in Washington.

WRITER’S ENVY … this is spectacular!!:
The election of Obama reminds me of years ago, when I bought a fake Tag Heuer watch while visiting Manhattan. Normally I walk right by street vendors, but this watch caught my eye. It was sleek and clean, and some described it as gorgeous. Only true Tag aficionados could tell that the watch was a fake.

The thing that impressed me about my fake Tag was that it had the “weight” of a real Tag. It didn’t feel like the lightweight replicas I had seen in Mexico, China, and Africa. And the best part? My fake Tag cost me $7!

… My fake Tag had all the real Tag markings on the back, though I certainly wasn’t given papers to authenticate my fake Tag. However, if I had asked, the salesperson might have produced them.
By Kevin Jackson @ American Thinker: Obama and the Fake Tag.

What hath “Dr. Evil” [Andrew Breitbart] wrought?:
According to Maureen Dowd, Barack Obama’s latest problem may be because he isn’t black enough:

The Obama White House is too white.

It has Barack Obama, raised in the Hawaiian hood and Indonesia, and Valerie Jarrett, who spent her early years in Iran.

But unlike Bill Clinton, who never needed help fathoming Southern black culture, Obama lacks advisers who are descended from the central African-American experience, ones who understand “the slave thing,” as a top black Democrat dryly puts it.

Everything you need to know about Silly Bandz:
If you’re a parent -— actually, even if you’re not -— you have probably seen those colorful little rubber bracelets accessorizing teens nationwide. It’s the latest superfad: rubber band-like figures shaped like anything from monkeys to faces to stars.

Silly Bandz (and their imitators) are a booming business. Silly Bandz alone sells over $100 million worth of product each year. They come in a pack of 24 for about $5, and they are everywhere, from the malls to the classrooms (some schools are even considering banning the bands for creating a nuisance).
Analysis by Benjamin Radford @ Discovery News: Anatomy of a Fad: Aboard the Silly Bandz Wagon.

PRIORITIES:
Barack Obama will skip the Boy Scout 100 year Anniversary Jamboree … Instead he will travel to New York City to appear on “The View.”
Obama Will Skip Boy Scout 100 Year Anniversary Jamboree – Will Appear on “The View” That Day Instead.

Can you spell … G[OOPS]GLE:
A few days ago, Google tried to make a vague attempt at beautifying its Image Search and complicated things in the process. Image searches became more taxing on the browser. Google Image search loaded all the pages in a single view and needed us to scroll down to see results. This was good for those with fast internet connections. However, on slow connections, it simply did not load any further pages apart from the first or, in some cases; it did not load the thumbnails after the first few pages. To add to that, the thumbnail preview on hover was a user-interface disaster and made it extremely hard to use Google Image Search anymore.
By Chinmoy Kanjila @ Techie Buzz: Is Google Killing the new Image Search, now that people hate it?
