Frederick George “Rick” Wilson has been called many things \u2026 sleazy operative, white scumbag, dirty trickster, savvy grifter, ethically repulsive, ex-Republican hit man, and swamp-dweller. But unlike James Gregory, he\u2019s never been called\u00a0\u201cThe funniest man in America.\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Lincoln Project bio<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0presents him as a \u201crenowned political strategist, infamous ad-maker.\u201d They go on \u2026<\/p>\n

He produced groundbreaking political advertising and provided winning, strategic counsel to winning political candidates, SuperPACS, state parties, the national campaign committees, and corporate, association, and government clients across the nation and around the world.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

His own website<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is even more to the point:<\/p>\n

\u2026he\u2019s constantly called on for sharp-edged and witty political insight on the national news networks, including CNN and MSNBC.<\/p>\n

Rick enjoys hunting, fishing, flying, and\u00a0overthrowing governments.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Pennsylvania statewide races are vital for America. First, because both GOP candidates represent an existential threat to democracy and everything that is good in this country. I know, I sound like a broken record. Second,\u00a0the look on Dr. Oz\u2019s face when he gives his concession speech to his sparsely attended election night party will be my screensaver.<\/strong>\u00a0Crudit\u00e9s, anyone? (Also, homeboy\u2019s pointless animal abuse experiments puts him in every box of my \u201cAsshole Republican Candidate Bingo Card\u201d).<\/p>\n

Anyway, here\u2019s where things stand in PA five days before the election.<\/p>\n

Governor:\u00a0We all know Doug Mastriano has exactly as many brain cells as the number of nights Melania\u2019s slept in Donald\u2019s bed.\u00a0<\/strong>But the good news is that the voters in PA are realizing this too.***<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Let\u2019s not forget that The Lincoln Project hasn\u2019t been all that forgiving of \u201cother\u201d funny men in their ranks.\u00a0Apparently, Ben Howe was discovered muscling in on Rick Wilson\u2019s territory.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

In a disappointing but ultimately unsurprising turn of events, the Lincoln Project super PAC ousted its stellar video editor Ben Howe over \u2014 you guessed it \u2014 bad tweets. Howe’s offenses? A few attempts at humor several years ago, some effective, others not, using a handful of crass words related to female anatomy as ways to insult his (usually male) adversaries.<\/p>\n

But Howe, one of the Lincoln Project’s (former) rare staffers who ordinarily has remained civil and retained actual conservatism while criticizing President Trump, is out anyway, leading to one massive question: How the hell is Rick Wilson still there?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At least the folks at the Stephen Colbert show\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>saw through the grifting fog that hides the REAL Lincoln Project. Quite funny actually.<\/p>\n

Ex-GOP strategist Rick Wilson and his group The Lincoln Project were the subjects of mockery on the Stephen Colbert-produced animated show “Tooning Out The News.”<\/p>\n

Wilson, who has long been an outspoken anti-Trump critic on cable news network, co-founded The Lincoln Project, a PAC launched in 2019 that has become known for its viral ads aiming to not only defeat President Trump in the upcoming election but any Republican lawmaker who has supported him as well.<\/p>\n

However, while both Wilson and The Lincoln Project have been embraced by the likes of MSNBC, they received an icy reception on the comedic CBS All Access program that spawned from “The Late Show.”<\/p>\n

During the interview, the panel of cartoon anchors noted how seven members of The Lincoln Project were also Bush-Cheney campaign alumni.<\/p>\n

“I’ve got to say, we really miss Bush. He always did what was right for the country, that country being Saudi Arabia,” one anchor quipped.<\/p>\n

Wilson was called out for his tweets disparaging Muslims and the LGBTQ community but what caused the anti-Trumper to visibly squirm was a tweet from 2010 that read, “Dear Nutroot lefties: You are Barack Obama’s b—-. You are pathetic little whores satisfied with crumbs and head-pats.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“Rick, when was the exact moment you realized those ‘pathetic little whores’ could be tapped for money?” the female anchor asked.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
