Apparently, the Sermon on the Mount was just too inconvenient for his political ambitions.

Let’s dispense with the nonsense. Fuentes is not a Christian spokesman merely because he invokes Christ. Christianity does not teach that racial ancestry confers moral superiority, that Jewish people should be collectively vilified, or that political opponents become legitimate targets for violence. Christ commanded His followers to love their neighbors and their enemies. Fuentes’s rhetoric offers a radically different prescription.

His record speaks loudly enough.

In August 2017, Fuentes attended Charlottesville’s Unite the Right rally, a white nationalist gathering that culminated in deadly violence. He subsequently described the event favorably. In January 2021, he was in Washington for the events surrounding the Capitol attack. The day before, he publicly asked what could be done to a state legislator besides killing one, adding a disclaimer against actually doing so. Congress subsequently documented his presence during the attack and his praise for the violence.

That is not the record of a serious Christian political thinker. It is the record of a provocateur who repeatedly pushes political rhetoric toward the language of intimidation and violence.

And then there is the antisemitism.

Fuentes has cultivated a movement that treats Jewish influence, immigration, multiculturalism, and demographic change as existential threats. His participation in the November 2022 Alex Jones broadcast with Kanye West, during which West praised Hitler, further exposed the ideological company he was willing to keep.

This is not simply a conservative disagreement over immigration policy, border security, or national identity. Those are legitimate subjects for political debate. Racial supremacy and collective religious hatred are something else entirely.

Nor is Fuentes some principled outsider who has merely been misunderstood by the Republican establishment. He has repeatedly attacked mainstream Republicans for failing to embrace his more extreme positions. In July 2024, he declared that he would not vote for Donald Trump, objecting to the people and policies associated with Trump’s prospective administration. His refusal was not a principled defense of constitutional democracy; his own stated objections included opposition to Jewish and gay figures in government.

He has also been banned from major platforms, including YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit, over violations of their policies. CPAC expelled him and his associates in 2023. These facts do not, by themselves, prove every allegation made against him, but they demonstrate that his conflicts extend well beyond ordinary conservative disagreements.

And what about his claims to traditional Christian values? The record of his rhetoric concerning women, race, and political authority deserves scrutiny on its own terms. His advocacy of an exclusionary, authoritarian vision of society cannot be made biblical simply by attaching a Bible verse to it.

The bottom line: Nick Fuentes is not a martyr for conservatism, a defender of biblical Christianity, or a courageous voice for traditional America. He is an extremist whose own words and documented activities provide ample grounds for rejecting his ideological project.

Conservatives do not have to abandon free speech to condemn him. Christians do not have to surrender the public square to expose his distortions of the faith. And Americans do not have to tolerate racial supremacy or political intimidation to defend constitutional liberty.

The answer to Fuentes is not censorship as a substitute for argument. It is truth, evidence, moral clarity, and the refusal to confuse Christian conviction with racial hatred.

A movement that must disguise bigotry as Christianity to attract followers has already confessed the weakness of its own moral foundation.

Oh, what a spectacular fraud Nick Fuentes is: a self-appointed defender of Christianity and Western civilization whose public record reads like a demolition project against the very principles he claims to uphold.
