A Biblical Call for Justice: The Epstein Case and Our Moral Obligation<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The recent discussions surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein files have revealed something profound about the human conscience\u2014an undeniable hunger for justice that transcends political affiliation. Whether Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, we all share a common outrage at the abuse of innocent children and a demand that those responsible be held accountable.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Source of Our Moral Outrage<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

As noted in recent commentary, this universal sense of justice doesn’t emerge from evolutionary convenience or cultural conditioning. It springs from something deeper\u2014what Scripture calls the image of God within us. Romans 2:15 tells us that God’s law is “written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness.” This divine imprint is why we feel moral outrage at injustices that don’t directly affect us.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biblical Mandate for Justice<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Scripture is abundantly clear about our obligation to pursue justice, especially for the vulnerable:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.”<\/b> – Isaiah 1:17<\/span><\/p>\n

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”<\/b> – Psalm 82:3-4<\/span><\/p>\n

The children allegedly harmed in the Epstein case represent exactly the kind of vulnerable victims Scripture calls us to defend.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Demand for Full Accountability<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

While we may debate the details of what happened and who was involved, one thing should unite us all: every person who participated in the abuse of children must be held accountable<\/b>, regardless of their wealth, power, or political connections.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bible warns us about showing partiality in matters of justice:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.”<\/b> – Leviticus 19:15<\/span><\/p>\n
