What if Dr. Seuss had been asked to promote our Sunday School class on the Book of Revelation? He wouldn\u2019t have printed a bulletin insert. He\u2019d have rhymed! He\u2019d have invented a Woe-Wumper, prescribed Glimmer-Goggles, and given poor Pastor Dave knocking knees. So, with apologies to the good Doctor, here is our announcement: a Seussian invitation to show up for a study of the Book of Revelation. Read the poem below aloud, with feeling, please. Bouncing is optional.<\/p>\n

On a bright Sunday morning in Building Number B\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nSat the Sunday School class, sipping coffee and tea.<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\n“We\u2019re starting anew!” cried Pastor Joey with glee,<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\n“Now the very last book! Can you guess what it be?”<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Then Missy Christine jumped right up from her chair:<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\n“It’s the scrolls and the seals and the beasts everywhere!<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nThere are lampstands and locusts and horsemen times four,<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nAnd a dragon!” she squeaked. “Do you think there’ll be more?”<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Now Pastor Dave felt a fright, and his knees went a-knock.<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\n“Should I bring Glimmer-Goggles? A Prophecy Clock?<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nIs a Woe-Wumper lurking right under my seat?<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nWill the locusts be friendly? And what do they eat?”<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Then old Mr. Robbins came with his timelines unrolled:<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nPre-trib! Post-trib! Mid-trib! In purple and gold!<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nThey had Gog! They had Magog! Ten horns, with some spare!<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nThere were arrows and asterisks stuck everywhere!<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

But Sampaga just smiled, and he said, “Hush now, dears,<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nYou may keep all your charts and your Woe-Wumping fears.<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nFor the end of the Book, and I’m telling you, it’s grand,<\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\nIs that JESUS will WIN! He’s the Lamb! Understand?”<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n
